Nowadays when we are used to use so much Information Technologies, and we have started to ask ourselves is this secure ? Who is controlling this security, and who can gain access over our personal information.
There a lots of people who are creating malicious software with the only idea to steal information from the internet users (online banking or credit card details, personal information, chats emails and so on). How do we stop this when we do not know which we page is real and which is not. Right now there are "supa-dupa" security softwares called "Internet Security suites" that are totally monitoring your computer. Every process you start is being scanned. Every web page that you visit is being scanned. Every chat that you use is being scanned. Every connection that the computer is trying to establish is notified and you have the ability either to block it either to allow it.
I have worked for a Antivirus security company. I have seen how this software works and supported it. Wow, the customer really does not know on which level of the operating system this software really works. He/she thinks that when you close the interface of the antivirus programme, it is disable. Do not dare to think so ! Such software are nastier than a virus. Even if you try to kill them via the Task Manager are starting themselves again. The only think is that there is no warning that the software is running. Interesting isn't it ?
So basically when you have purchased the latest version of the so called "Supa-Dupa Internet Security suite" you do not really know if it is running or not? Wow how secure is that ? So it is blocking internet connections without warning, moving some files that it thinks they are not secure without warning you, and so on, and you really do not know that it is doing that.
"Welcome to a safe world" - this was an advertise of some Antivirus company. The world has become so safer that, you cannot really open any web pageLaughing. Sometimes some of your favourite programmes are notified as virus. Yeah I feel safer now :) In this case I can format my hard drive and I will feel safer because I do not have Operating system on itSmile.
The above thing was a joke, but really when something is wrong with your computer (you cannot open web pages, or some programmes) the first thing you should do is to try to disable you Security software (such as Internet Security Suites and firewall programs) right before calling to your Support Guy. Believe me - he will do this first Smile.
